-Region Website-If you are getting red error messages when trying to submit your volunteer application on your www.ayso120.org login, please contact 866-258-3303, this is the Blue Sombrero support line.
-AYSOU Login Credentials - Volunteers will use their Blue Sombrero Username and Password to log into AYSOU. If this is working on Blue Sombrero, but not working on AYSOU, the volunteer will need to login in to Blue Sombrero, click on their volunteer details, and then click update. If you continue to have problems logging in to AYSOU or are having difficulites with AYSOU please contact

866.264.2048 Steps for becoming a referee:
First: REGISTER AS A VOLUNTEER
- Login to AYSO120 Bluesombrero
- Click on the volunteer button on the left.
- Click on “Find Volunteer Roles” in the top right.
- Click Sign-Up on the line that says referee (Just click it once so that it changes color)
- Scroll down and click on continue.
- Confirm that your name is selected for the role and click continue.
- Enter in your information, accept the waiver and hit continue.
- Click to eSign the form. Accept the e-sign and type in your name, click to accept and then confirm on the next page.
- Congratulations you’re signed up as a volunteer!
Second: Take the Referee course
- Login to AYSO-U: https://aysou.org/
- Click on Online Courses.
- Complete the Safe Haven, CDC Concussion course, and the Summary of the Laws of the game sections (about 30-40 minutes).
- Complete the Online Regional Referee course.
- Review all the videos and pass the test.
- ALSO, in addition to the online course you will need to take a companion classroom course.
- Click on In-Person Courses
- Pick Referee Instructor Led Courses by clicking on Open.
- Find the “Regional Referee Online Companion Course” and click on sessions.
- Find “Regional Online Companion Course" with a Costa Mesa location for the date that you want and click on register. (Hint: If you click on the title of the class it will expand and show you the location and instructions for attending the class).
- Additional Volunteer Users - users volunteering outside of the registration system will volunteer his/herself, or add a new user to volunteer. If the volunteer now becomes an additional user, he/she will want to accept the invite to create a Username/Password on Blue Sombrero to get them access to AYSOU. Youth Volunteers do not have to accept this additional user invite to move forward.
- AYSOU Certifications - Certifications will port over from eAYSO once the user volunteers, based on the system recognizing the volunteer ID. If the certifications do not port over, there is a mismatch in the ID.
